Who is responsible

The data controller is Zoo&Groomer (zooygroomer.com). For anything related to your data, write to zooygroomer@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account details: first name, last name, email address and phone number, which you give us when you sign up.

Your aquarium data: tank name and volume, water test results, products, inventory, journal, livestock, equipment and expenses you choose to record.

Orders: the products you order and their status, so they can be fulfilled.

Messages: if you chat with another user, the content of those messages.

The minimum technical data needed to keep the service running and secure (for example, access logs from our hosting provider).

We do not collect your precise location, we use no advertising cookies, and we do not profile you for advertising.

What we use it for

To provide the service: storing your aquariums, calculating doses, sending your reminders and telling you when a product is about to run out, and handling your orders.

To support you when you get in touch or when something goes wrong.

To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Our legal bases are performance of the contract (giving you the service you asked for), your consent when you enable optional features such as notifications, and our legitimate interest in keeping the system secure.

Artificial intelligence features

The AI biologist and photo diagnosis only run when you use them. At that point your question (and the photo, if you attach one) is sent along with your tank context to Anthropic, which processes the request and returns the answer.

These features are supportive and do not replace a vet or a professional. The dose calculator does NOT use artificial intelligence: it is a deterministic calculation.

We keep a usage counter to enforce free-plan limits; we do not use your conversations to train models.

Who we share it with

Supabase, as our database and authentication provider.

Netlify, as our hosting and serverless functions provider.

Anthropic, solely for the AI features described above and only when you use them.

The store serving your area when you place an order, with the details needed to prepare and deliver it.

We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to third parties for advertising.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active. If you delete it, we erase your data except anything we must keep by law (for example, order invoicing).

Your rights

You can access your data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its processing, and ask for a portable copy. To do so, write to zooygroomer@gmail.com.

You may also complain to your country's data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your request properly.

Children

The service is not aimed at children under 14. If we find an account belonging to a child without parental consent, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything significant, we will update this page and the date above, and let you know in the app or by email when the change materially affects you.
